    Maybe it was the brand of gochugang but I found this spicy beyond being pleasant and like the other commenter, intensely salty. I think I didn’t even add all the soy sauce as it just felt a bit mad

    Hi Georgia! Sorry to hear this one didn't go down well. It does all depend on the brand you buy, but maybe next time try adding a little less. Using shoyu (japanese) soy sauce as well might help too.
