Lovely recipe. I do not agree with the comments saying sauce was bland. In fact I would maybe use less peanut butter in it. Good one!

had lots of garlic and ginger knocking about, blitzed them in the food processor and added to the meatball mixture with some msg.

Nice recipe but instructions a bit vague. Both sets of instructions for the limes are incomplete. The whole family enjoyed the recipe so I’ll definitely make it again. I added some more red curry paste to the sauce, then poured the lot over the meatballs so they could cook the rest of the way through. The sauce thickened nicely and I added the cooked green beans to the pot too.

This was nice but the sauce & meatballs a little bland, even though I added lots of seasoning. In future I would add some fresh chilli to give it a little kick. I added some stir fry vegetables to mine (mini sweetcorn, spring onion, runner beans & mange tout) as I like vegetables with a meal. But next time I would definitely add some chilli to the sauce and the meatball mix to elevate it slightly.

Hey Deborah! If you want to add extra oomph the meatball mix chilli is a great shout! Let us know how it goes :)

The meatballs were delicious, but I only used 1/4 of the recommended breadcrumbs based on other reviews. Texture was perfect, if a little tricky to shape before cooking. I also had to let the sauce down with a lot of lime juice + soy sauce & even then it was still pretty thick. Added some sliced fresh red chillies to serve which made it even better. I have one question, if I freeze the meatballs after cooking, what's the best way to reheat them?

Hi Naomi! You can reheat the meatballs by gently warming them in a pan over low heat with the sauce or the oven works well too (175°C for 20–25 mins, covered).

Good recipe but not the best mob recipe. Think the meatballs may have benefitted by being a little smaller. Still not a bad dish by any means!

Nice dish and would make it again. I would use half the peanut butter though because I found the sauce to be far too thick.

These meatballs were huge, next time I will make 24. Taste was great but a bit meatloaf esk, as mentioned, I would add fresh chilli to it next time. The sauce was bland as mentioned will try adding curry paste next time. Overal a nice dish I would make again.

Did not enjoy this one. Meatballs were very meatloaf like, not enough flavour, sauce was very bland. Didn’t feel like it all went together for me personally

Super easy recipe. I only made the meatballs because I had peanut sauce from another recipe. I didn't really like the peanut sauce with the meat and wondered if it would have tasted different had I made the sauce in the recipe. But in any case I served them with lime and they were good. I am going to tweak this next time and make it with a Thai style cashew cream sauce. I think that would be a good combo. Definitely think the meatballs will be a go to for a quick dinner.

I added chilli crisp to the sauce and some lemongrass paste to the meatballs. Chopped red chillies to go with the spring onions and coriander is a good addition too. Really good recipe.

Yum, this was really tasty. I added less breadcrumbs than advised and the meatballs turned out lovely. I did need to throw them in the oven because their larger size meant they were taking ages in the pan. I also used less peanut butter than called for in the sauce because of comments about richness

I have loads of the leftover peanut/coconut sauce. What could I use it for please?

This was delicious! I followed the recommendations below and only used 50g breadcrumbs for the meatballs, I also split the curry paste between the sauce and meatballs to give the sauce more flavour, and simmered the meatballs in the sauce for the final five minutes of cooking time. Lovely!

Lovely week night recipe. The meatballs were moist and nice flavour. The sauce was a bit bland. Would definitely add some curry paste into the sauce next time. And top with some fresh chopped chilli if you like it spicy.

Super delicious. Like others, I added a little thai red curry paste into the sauce and was glad I did. I finished off the cooking of the meatballs in the sauce as I didn’t want them to dry out. I weighed out 100g of breadcrumbs and it looked a lot! So I put only a couple of small handfuls in, and only half the egg and the meatballs were a good consistency and held together well.

Because meatballs can get dry and too dense, I just turned the mix into mince! I also added some curry paste to the sauce. I added a little of the sauce to the mince and put a little on top. Served over rice and green beans with spring onion, coriander and red chili.

Superb recipe. We love our food a bit spicier, so added curry paste to the sauce, chopped some chillies in with the topping.

A good one! I adapted it so I could serve it to the whole family including the baby by leaving the red curry paste out of the meatballs (and adding some lemongrass onion and garlic for flavour substitute), then when the sauce was done I fried the curry paste in a separate pan and added the grownup half of the sauce to that. Popular all round!
